FLU VACCINATIONS

We have now received our first delivery of flu vaccine.

The programme will operate differently this year to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as possible and adhere to social distancing. 

All clinics will be booked appointments only.

Information on the Flu Vaccination Programme in Scotland and the At Risk Groups are available on the NHS Inform Flu Vaccination webpage  https://www.nhsinform.scot/flu or call the information line on 0800 224488.

 

Patients that will be age 65 and over on 31.03.21

All patients in this group should have received a letter from the Government asking that you contact the practice to arrange an appointment.    If you have not received a letter or not yet made an appointment, please contact the practice to arrange this.  Please call after 10am from Monday to Friday. 

Patients in this category will be vaccinated at Newtonport Surgery.

Main Clinic:  Sunday 11th October 20.

 

Patients age 18 – 64 who are in an At-Risk Group

Letters have been sent to all patients in this group asking that you contact the practice to arrange an appointment.  If you have not already done so, please contact us to arrange this.  Please call after 10am from Monday to Friday.

Patients in this category will be vaccinated at the East Lothian Community Hospital.

Main Clinic:  Saturday 3rd October 20

Patients age 12 – 17 who are in an At-Risk Group

We are awaiting delivery of vaccine for patients in this group.  Letters will be sent to everyone once this is available. 

Patients in this category will be vaccinated at Newtonport Surgery.

 

Children aged between 2 and 5 excluding those who are at Primary School

Parents / Carers of children in this age group have been sent a letter by NHS Lothian outlining vaccination arrangements for their child.  Appointment letters are being sent out centrally by the Community Vaccination Team and will follow.

These vaccinations will be carried out at the East Lothian Community Hospital.
