Part Time -  Clinical Read Coder 

We are looking for a new team member to join the clinical coding team in the practice.  Previous medical terminology experience is essential and this role may suit someone with previous nursing or medical underwriting experience. 

 

 

You will be responsible for scanning and coding all incoming correspondence and then directing this to the appropriate Health Care Professional for attention whilst adhering to the practice policy.   

 

This is an interesting role and would suit someone who is reliable, committed, organised and possesses meticulous attention to detail with the ability to remain calm whilst under pressure. 

 

This is a part time post for 20 hours per week to be worked over 4 days..

 

There may be an opportunity to increase this to 25 hours per week over 5 days for the right candidate.  

 

Additional hours may also be available in the short term to support the summarising of new patient records.

 

This is an office based role and is not suitable for home working.
