The Out–of-Hours service operates from Friday evening at 18:00 until Monday morning at 08:00 and every other evening from 18:00 – 08:00 the following morning. 

NHS Lothian, now have the responsibility for the commissioning of this service. 

To contact this service please telephone NHS 111 on 111 between 18:00 Friday evening and 08:00 Monday morning and every other evening from 18:00 until 08:00 the following morning. 

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

The Practice is also closed on some public holidays and very occasionally for staff training – these closures will be well publicised here

The nearest Accident & Emergency Department to  Haddington for adults is the New Royal Infirmary, Little France, Edinburgh. Children under the age of 16 should be taken to the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People, Little France, Edinburgh.
