The Out–of-Hours service operates from Friday evening at 18:00 until Monday morning at 08:00 and every other evening from 18:00 – 08:00 the following morning. 

NHS Lothian, now have the responsibility for the commissioning of this service. 

To contact this service please telephone NHS 111 on 111 between 18:00 Friday evening and 08:00 Monday morning and every other evening from 18:00 until 08:00 the following morning. 

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

The Practice is also closed on some public holidays and very occasionally for staff training – these closures will be well publicised here

The nearest Accident & Emergency Department to  Haddington for adults is the New Royal Infirmary, Little France, Edinburgh. Children under the age of 16 should be taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Sciennes Road, Edinburgh
